How You Fit In
You will become a strategic member of the Design team. Together with the Design Lead, you will lead the STRV Design team in constantly enhancing the quality of everything we do.
Your main responsibility will be the whole visual output of the Design team for commercial and internal projects, while constantly improving the design skills of the team by mentoring and educating others. To avoid any confusion, though — this is not a purely managerial position. We expect you to have a very hands-on approach, directly contributing to the creative direction of STRV projects and providing feedback to all of our Product Designers.
At STRV, Your Role Will Be To
- Ensure top design quality of all products we build
- Set up design standards and make sure STRV is always at the top of our game
- Be a strong lead and mentor to Product Designers, helping them set up career plans
- Focus on mentoring and empowering the team to be independently successful and to make solid decisions without your involvement
- Directly contribute to client work by setting a creative direction and ensuring its execution when needed
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define a design vision and strategy
- Help grow the Design team by finding, reviewing and unlocking the perfect talents
We Expect You To Have
- Exceptional digital design skills and experience, ideally in an agency setting
- Thorough experience with software interaction design for mobile devices and web
- Experience overseeing a design team, with the ability to ensure quality of deliverables and work efficiency of a cross-disciplinary project team
- Experience building and growing a high-performance design team
- Thorough experience in proposing initial creative concepts, executing that vision through proven leadership and unlocking the skills of other product designers within a team
- A passion for solving complex UX problems and the strategic insight needed to deliver premium visual design solutions
- A leadership mindset — activating team members, collaborating with experienced designers and mentoring newcomers comes naturally to you
- A strong portfolio that demonstrates a solid understanding of product strategy, user experience and visual design for digital products
- Excellent English — due to our primarily US-based clientele, our designers present and consult their work exclusively in English
